Cellphone Bratinellas

March 31, 2007

Last Week, a friend of mine ALMOST lost her cellphone.Hers is not the expensive type of model. It doesn’t even have a camera or any other fancy feature. If she is an irresponsible type of person, she could have told her parents that she lost it somewhere and demand for a replacement but she didn’t. That cellphone has sentimental value to her. Thank God we were able to find it the day after :)

Filipinos (especially girls) love changing the models of their cellphone. A classmate of mine changes her phone model regularly by swapping or selling it to purchase a new one. I noticed that despite of her changing of unit, she never lost her simecard-not at once.

Just last month I had a conversation with a girl who brags about her "newest" cellphone. Unlike my classmate, she now has a different simcard and according to her, its her 5th time to change her phone number and sim card. Nah, she has no stalker - she is just a cellphone bratinella.

I don’t get it-why do young girls nowadays brag about loosing their expensive mobile phone? In my own opinion, loosing a cellphone not once, twice but a lot of tim shows:

1. Sign of immaturity - purchasing a mobile phone especially the latest model is no joke. Yeah you can be a daughter of a politician or a millionaire but remember na Bawat pisong inaakyat ng magulang ninyo sa bahay ninyo ay pinaghihirapan nila. Looking for money nowadays is not easy.

2. Lack of Discipline - Parents should get mad at their children if they lost something. I remember how my mom scolded me when i lost a fancy necklace. Yes fancy lang siya but then she used her money to buy that. Since that day, I learned how to check on my things once in a while and take good care of them

3. Pagyayabang - having the best cellphone in town doesn’t mean that you will be adored by many (well maybe yes by social climbers). I never liked those guys who brag about bringing cars in the campus lalo na kung walking distance lang ang bahay nila.Hello?!?! maglakad ka na lang noh.

4. Bad Habits and Vices - beware parents of these girls who often tells you that they lost their phone somewhere. I know one person who went to a pawnshop para isangla yung cellphone because she’s into drugs and her boyfriend is a drug pusher.

5. Carelessness - makawala ka ba naman ng mamahaling bagay ng maraming beses?

Ganitongtelepono ang bagay sa inyo!

So what am i trying to tell you? It’s ok to upgrade your cellular phones as long as you use your own money and still know your priorities (like Friend B). You should also treasure these stuff especially if your parents bought them for you. There’s no harm in looking for it a day after you misplaced it (like FriendA). You should also use these gadgets for texting and calling and not for bragging and sosyalan.

 Ganitongtelepono ang bagay sa inyo!

Teka asan na nga ba yung cellphone ko? :D

May Internet Connection na Kami!

March 29, 2007

Rockista gURL Wannabe

March 27, 2007

It's so HOT in here and school requirements are taking much of my time. I can't even sit for a second to text my friends or whatever so here I am taking 5 minutes break from my school research and all that stressful stuff LOL.

I went to the "condo" of the Senior IT Students last Friday after I had received my payment from BlogToProfit (Go to my BlogToProfit post if you want to earn money hehe). We burned a copy of our project in Professional Ethics and went straight to picture taking (while some of them are actually busy doing the Cost Benefit Analysis of their Thesis). with Lecel and Jaypee. I realized that this is our last week together. I'll be spending my holy week in Zambales and Their graduation day is on April 10. I'll be going to Manila by the 12th and start with my OJT.

Stop muna. Don't Want to be emotional for now coz I cried earlier LOL,

My post is mainly about my frustration about guitars (hehehe). I wanted to learn how to play a guitar when I was younger. Maybe because I've seen my Uncle George play this wonderful musical instrument. He is a rockstar wannabe and he is in a hardcore band before. Too bad my dad didn;t allow me to take lessons or purchase my own guitar due to some reasons that up to this day remains a mystery.

Maybe because of this?

That's what you get when you are playing the guitar with your neck hehe :) Mong Alcaraz is known for his "kakaibang" moves when he plays the guitar yet undeniably he is one of the best guitarists we have around the local music scene. (He is a member of Chicosci/Sandwich)

Can somebody please teach me how to play a guitar? I hope it's not yet too late

Jojo’s "Father and Son"

March 26, 2007

Last Tuesday afternoon, I got bored and I had no class so I decided to go home early than the usual and the couch potato in me unleashed. As I was browsing through the tv channels, my brother Carlo went up to me asking for his baon. I gave him twenty pesos, kept it in his bag. The sweet boy that he is, he kissed me in the cheeks and flushed a killersmile before taking a bath.

When he was finally dressed up for school, our grandfather woke up too. He drank his coffee and went back to room to dress up for work. Carlo was singing campaign jingles (he loves Cayetano's jingle nowadays) and later on immitate Noli De Castro in Ralph Recto's TV Ad (Recto para sa Senado), but in Carlo's version it seems like Recto and Pichay connived with the theme "Recto para sa Senado.. Pro-Pinoy!".

While waiting for his yaya, Carlo and I took pictures and he gladly smiled in every click I made (there are times wherein he usually snubs me when he's not in the mood). He wore our dad's cap and suddenly, I saw a little version of Papa Jojo then Carlo hugged nd kissed me. It felt like I am hugging a Jojo Mini-Me.

When my Lolo was preparing for work, I saw an Old Jojo watching the News Flash (my Dad is a couch potato too LOL). Goodness Jojo I'm missing you again!

Carlo went Lolo's room and I took some of their pictures.

Senior and Junior Rodriguez hehe :D
