I can say that the three leading Men's magazine in the country (FHM, Maxim and Uno) wasn't able to sell much for their February issues primarily because of the following reasons:
FHM's Gaby Dela Merced is popular in the field of racing, but the she lacks what you call "masa appeal". Last year's February offering (with Princess Sarah kiddo Camille Pratts) sold more.
MAXIM's Valerie Concepcion graced the cover of FHM August 2006 issue. She's sexy alright, but her being a mommy at a young age might have affected the reader's interest.
UNOMAG's Toni Gonzaga cover was a big surprise for everyone. "Ano? Si Toni Gonzaga na super conservative magpopose sa Uno? Well to the male fans' dismay, she posed wearing Japanese Kimono and the pictorial is not that daring at all. I think her promo shoot for the movie "You Got Me" is more sexier than her Uno Shoot.
But for sure those mag collectors will be confused on choosing what magazine to buy this month. Why? See for yourself:

MAXIM's Roxanne Guinoo/FHM's Angelica Panganiban and Uno Mag's Anne Curtis
Who's your favorite among the three?
