The two first met during the shooting of the movie BATAS MILITAR where majority of the scenes were shot in Pampanga. Tanya is Mark’s Leading lady in that film.

Everyone knows that Mark Lapid was linked to a lot of gorgeous women like Kristine Hermosa, Cristine Reyes and even Kris Aquino. He was linked to almost every woman he’s paired with.

The Mark-Tanya stuff was not that much talked about in showbiz world. Tanya is the type of person who would rather keep her mouth shut that have bad publicities and false news. Even her team-up with Dingdong Dantes years ago (Sana Ay Ikaw Na Nga and Twin Hearts) was purely work though they remained good friends.

Maybe you ask me why am I talking about Tanya?

Because I made her website years ago.

If you are one of those guys who was mesmerized with her pretty face when she was the reining soap opera princess in the telebabad block, you might have crossed the site Tanya Garcia Zone that I made when I was in second year high school. I was a real fanatic and computer addict back then and I wanted to develop my skills in HTML. I started making simple sites for some celebrities (where the pages were limited to home, pics, bio and guestbook). Out of boredom, I decided to make one for Tanya (since there’s a few Tanya pictures on the web that time and I lacked information) but that didn’t stop me from making one. I wanted to be the first webmistress to own a Tanya site.

I recall having 6 Tanya photos when I started with the site. I rarely give updates in the site but one day, a certain lady from the USA sent me an email thanking me for making a website of her "cousin".

I didn’t believe her at first until a certain D. Lyttle sent me an email thanking me again for making a website for Tanya. A YG was made for the DD-Tans Loveteam and before I knew it there are 4 Tanya-related websites in the internet (but I was the first one haha) and the good thing there is we shared pictures and informations and one of them asked for my number.

What? Tanya Garcia just tried to call me up?

Then she gave me a ring again and greeted me a happy birthday. We became constant textmates and she was browsing the site from time to time and even reminded me to update it (btw my last update is November 2003 hehe). Her older sister Denise started sending me pictures, freebies and magazines with Tanya on it to the delight of Carlo’s nanny, whom I believe is Tanya Garcia’s biggest fan.

She had a long hiatus on the telebabad run but remained loyal to the kapuso network. She appeared in numerous films and TV shows in QTV, GMA-7’s sister station.

I got the chance to finally see her in person in May 2006 at her mom’s house in Valle Verde. She was nice and yes, she’s a true person.

The thing I liked about Tanya is she is a person who never pretends to be the "telenovela saint" infront and offcam. She chooses not to make controversies (like what most stars do) and remain jobless than tell a lie. She does whatever she wants to do.

When I see her on TV with Mark Lapid, I can see the happiness and contentment in her eyes. I know that Mark Lapid has this "pabling" image, but then I do think he is man enough to face his responsibilities and I can feel that he really loves my Ate Tankee.

Tanya is now at the marrying age and according to the interview I saw awhile ago, she is pretty excited about motherhood. She and Mark will get marrie dafter she gives birth coz she wants to be the sexiest bride J
