Wow. Calculating the population of this third world country with each individual receiving a million pesos from him is next to impossible. I mean how can he possibly have that much money if he can't even have a Hair Transplants ? Is his "Pelukang Itim" his lucky charm? I guess not.
Two years ago, this guy filed his candidacy for president. He promised a lot of things to the pinoy countrymen including a good job to each and every unemployed individual, school supplies to public schools, pabahay to the poor ones and a million pesos to every starving (and wealthy?) pinoy.
After loosing in the Presidential Race (or was he disqualified the last minute?), he signed up with Alpha Records to do a novelty album with the carrier single "Pelukang Itim" , which later on was used in his debut movie with the same title opposite Alma Moreno and Madame Auring.
The same year, his daughter (the girl who used to sing the song "Hello Mama, Hello Papa Kamusta ka sa araw na ito la la la on national television) tried her luck in the second season of Starstruck. She made it to the Final 12 but failed to get into the Final 14. She's pretty and talented. I was actually hoping she'd stay longer in that contest.
The May 2007 Elections is fast-approaching. The candidates have different gimicks but for me, no one beats Eddie Gil.
