Much Love for my Dancing Queen

It's been three days since we celebrated Mother's Day here in the Philippines.

I was out with Kenjo and her brother, Dan (whom I share the same birth date with!) last Saturday night and we strolled around SM Mall of Asia (my second time-yet I failed to walk around the whole place!) and went to Baywalk after. We were talking about our Moms and how kulit they are when texting.

"Si Mama ko ang kulit" Kenjo said. "Gusto niya tuloy-tuloy ako magtext na parang unlimited texting. Nagtetext naman ako sa kanya pero hanggang Link 4 ayaw niya daw magbasa ng ganun kasi paputol-putol".

"Baliktad naman tayo. Yung mama ko nagagalit kapag nagtetext ako na hindi umaabot ng link 2. P15 daw yung isang text dapat daw lubusin ko" I said then bursted into laughter.

"Mama mo kuripot. Mama ko magastos!" Kenjo replied.

"Ikaw Kuripot, Ako Magastos!" I laugh out loud.

the suddenly, we missed our own moms.

"Kenj, paano kapag nandito Mama mo? How will you spend the mother's day together?" I asked.

"Lalabas lang siguro.. kakain, mag-mall kasama sina KC at Dan. Kaw ba?"

"Gusto ko bigyan ng SPA Day si Mama kaso mahal ang SPA sa Dagupan. Kahit dito pala haha pero mabibigay ko rin yun sa kanya someday tapos kakain kami sa mahal na restaurant then iiwan  ko siya haha" I said.

When I arrived home, I called her up and greeted her a Happy Mother's Day.

"Mother's Day dyan anak?" she asked.

"Yes Mama. Happy Mother's Day!" I replied.

She asked meabout Carlo, my OJT and my post-birthday details (I'll be blogging about this when the pictures from Kenjo's phone is with me na). She's excited to go home by October because there's a big possibility that I'll be graduating by that month (Please pray for me- I just have to graduate early!!). She wanted to see some of my old classmate that she treated as her own son/daughter. My Mom loves my friends and she knows everything - my crushes, my dreams, my ka-malditahan (she said that maldita daw ako haha sa kanya naman ako nagmana lol).

Some of the stuff na we are not alike are: She's vain, I'm not. She's a fashionista (without trying hard-she's being looked up by mga friends and her collegues because she's a headturner) and I'm simply plain jane. She's masipag at home and I'm a senyorita. She's conservative (she doesn't even know the stuff you read at cosmo LOL) and I'm a bit open-minded.

Yet we are both Maldita (in a good way), Loving, Loyal and we are both good dancers I encountered this funny situation where I met this gay at his 40's and saw me dance before. She approached me saying feedbacks about our performance. When he (or she? i dunno haha) asked where I got my height, I said from my  dad who is blah blah chuvaness and my dancing skills are from Brenda Starr (wehehe) and he/she was surprised "Ikaw na ba yung anak nina Jojo at Brenda? Nagmana ka nga sa kanila!"

Which means I have talented parents hehe They look good when they dance together with those 70's 80's dance tunes. There's Carlo's favorite "On the Radio", my so-called pa-cute song "I'm in the mood for dancing" There's my mom's "Hotstuff" where my dad jokes that when mom did some stunts before for the dance he could have thrown her out the stage LOL and of course "Do The Hustle Tantanantantantantanananan". My Dad also recorded the VST and Co. singles (where he recorded it in a cassette tape. I also had the Bananarama Cassette Tape I got from Tita Ellen's Felix the Cat Collection. Woah. I miss the music and the dancing. For sure, my mom is the only beautiful and most seductive dancer in my father's eyes!

There's so much love when you see them dancing- there's passion, there's fire and there's happiness. When you see me and Carlo dance, there's so much much much laughter that we end up laughing :p

I miss the Dancing Queen but I am not sad that she's not in here. I am happy because the memories are still in my mind. I could never forget her text "Bakit hindi ka na nagtetext? Hindi mo na ba love  mama mo?". You have no Idea Brenda Requilman Tomeldan Rodriguez how I love you. It ain't abvious because I'm not a showy person. I hope you could read this because I'll say it to the WWW that YOU  ARE THE BEST MOM IN THE WORLD!! I know that you hear that tag every mother's day pero ibahin mo ako. I do really mean it. You are my superwoman. You are my most hailed queen! I Love You MOM!!!
