Tripnotics to Workaholics

June 4, 2007

I’m online all the time yet it is quite obvious that I had a short hiatus. My life is not as dull as it used to be yet I find it hard to blog on the latest realizations that I had. Hopefully, I’d be able to type everything tonight.

Ganda ng view noh? Gusto ko lagi ko tong nakikita mula sa loob ng starbucks..

Let's just say that I've been busy the whole week. Aside from my 9-6 On-The-Job Training, I've been working on my "other job".

Just recently, I realized that working hard is not the only factor for a person to be successful in life. Kung hardwork lang, eh di dapat mayaman na si manong guard o si inang yaya. Diskarte ang dapat natin gamitin. Dati, I pictured myself only as an employee pero ngayon, gusto ko magkaroon ng sarili kong business. If Kenjo dreams of having her own starbucks franchise in Dagupan, I am dreaming of having the first Mini Stop naman. But how can I possibly achieve that dream kung magiging regular employee lang ako? Pwede rin akong mag-artista pero I accepted the fact that my high school dream will never turn into reality (ang drama noh weh). I am satisfied on having celebrity friends from both kapamilya and kapuso network :D

Because of this supposed-to-be-secret raket of mine, I was able to know Francis more. Well, technically, halos 6 years na kaming magkakilala, pero we never got the chance na maging close kahit na maraming beses na kaming nagsama. It's so ironic na we were partners sa column namin nung second year sa school paper (Tripnotic, remember?). Parang sapilitan nga yung partnership eh. I wrote something about KC Concepcion (who was the 'IT GIRL' at that moment) and the first ever MTV Asia Music Awards. HE wrote about this horror flick and a little article about the Christina Aguilera inspired sofa. Yun lang ata yung time na nag-usap kami nung second year. Groupmates din kami sa THE nung 4th year (yes, we were classmates sa Rutherford how dare you forget that fact!). Ka-group ko pa sila ni Winnie (they're the top two students in our classroom). I, as the hindi-ako-adik-makakuha-ng-90+-na grade let them do the project and I was just pretending to help them kapag andyan si Sir Emil. Some of his close friends are my close friends too pero I never gave a damn about him until… ayun.. basta haha :)

For some reasons, We became business partners. May sarili kaming franchise ng Jollibee sa Dagupan at Starbucks sa Alaminos (kamusta naman yun? haha). I simply saw him as the one of FQD's most admired students. Yun lang. I never thought that after years of stepping out from FQD, saka pa kami magiging close friends.

He's my Starbucks Buddy (Apat na branch na ata ang napuntahan namin.. still counting!) and our chitchats are quite memorable. From family issues to chismisan galore about our controversial batchmates to our favorite toys and even some stuff that are for matured audience only haha =)

This friendship only proves that high school classmates  who never got the chance to have a more personal talk and whatever you wanna call it can still be good - or even close friends. Our friendship is a different one because we are being moved by our common dreams and aspirations. We are both SSBs too (how embarrasing LOL) yet we've grown as matured individuals (not in terms of, you know) -  our Families are the most important element in our lives and we will do everything for us to give them the best.. only the best.
