Noontime shows Eat Bulaga (GMA) and Wowowee(ABS-CBN)are among the topraters in Philippine TV Today. Most of us even eat our meals infront of the TV Screen because we wouldn't want to miss any portion of these shows.
Why do Pinoys nowadays go crazy over noontime shows?
GAMES AND MONEY - Joining and winning any contest on national tv is some sort of "easy money". Of course, you have to exert extra effort, but it won't even take you an hour to get a thousand (or even million) bucks. Some are even willing to risk their lives just for a chance to win a big prize and and have their 15 seconds of fame.
SEXY DANCE GROUPS - What do Rochelle, Jopay, Aira, Luningning, Mariposa, Lian and Saida have in common? They all became popular because of their sexy dance moves and skimpy outfits that "Makes these brothers crazy and they do it on a daily".
NOVELTY HITS- Bakit Papa, Ispageti, Halukay Ube, A-doodoodoo, Boom tarat tarat, Iyugyog mo, Itaktak Mo. These songs can make you sing and dance anytime.
THE HOSTS - To be an effective noontime tv host, you should not only speak well infront of the camera: you must have the so-called "Masa Appeal" because you'd be dealing with different people from different walks of life. Did I mentioned that being "controversial" is a plus?
Take for example Wowowee's Willie Revillame and Eat Bulaga's Joey de Leon.
History is some sort-of repeating itself. A few years back, these two gentlemen had a word war (Willie was still a part of the MTB show) and both of them had a taste of suspension from the MTRCB ironically because of Mahal. And now, another feud can cause a bigger network war.
Everything started with the new segment of the show called "Wilyonaryo". Some of the viewers claimed that there's was something fishy going on. (more…)
* I just noticed that I spent most Mondays of August at home. Sana lahat na lang ng bayani natin may kani-kanyang holiday.
* Sunshine Dizon, Jean Garcia and Iza Calzado are three of the best actresses ever! Impostora rocks!
* The lovescene of Dingdong and Marian in Marimar tonight was romantic and artistically done.
* The public is starting to realize how powerful bloggers can be, but we must be careful with our words and actions.
* My mom is celebrating her birthday on Saturday and she's 46 years old na. Cheers!

I gotta go now and get some sleep.
Jamie Diane P. Revote is one person I can never forget.
I first met her way back in our kindergarden days were she enjoyed drinking milk and I enjoy eating tomatoes (for real!). She was quiet yet I was talkative (I was awarded as "Most Talkative" in Junior Casa). She's an angel-like kid and I was more of a fighter. She was shy to show her talents yet I am Little Miss Superstar. Despite our differences, we still clicked as good friends.
We didn't start out like what you usually see in the movies - we don't even have friendship rings or bracelets. She was always there to silently cheer for me whenever I receive my medals (Gone are the days!) and I was there constantly pushing her to fight her fear of public speaking. I was a bit more vocal about my feelings towards my classmate yet she was there-lurking.
We became better friends when we were already in Grade II. She would support me in my imaginary moomoo stories. Here's an example:
Hello Blog Friends! I had a blast this week! I met new people and at the same time, reunited with old friends I haven't seen for ages. I've also had some realizations (as always!) about my family and little things that brings hope to anyone. I'm still sick but I'm still fighting haha

"And it's 6:15.. Come on and let's watch the movie" he said hurriedly.
My grannies, together with the Stovell Family went to Tagaytay for lunch and to take a break from all the pollution you'd get in Metro Manila. On our way back home, my grandpa decided to drop by Robinson's to buy some stuff for my grandma, who is staying in Manila for a week and some food for Carlo on our way back here in Dagupan. I actually had a previous commitment scheduled at 6:30pm but then i chose to relax.. and see a movie with my Lolo Peping.
Here's a number of things I realized when I was inside the movie house:
1. I never saw him purchase popcorn or soda inside the moviehouse because according to him, you are inside that dark room to watch a movie, not to eat and throw your trash on the floor.
2. He rarely watches a Filipino Film because of obvious reasons.
3. He can watch a movie by himself unlike some of us.
So why am I writing this entry? I'm not really sure on my reason, but I do really treasure every single moment we have together though I am not really showy on how i appreciate him. Mabasa nya kaya ito?
