As I mentioned in some of my previous entries, the family went to Manila last week mainly for my cousin's despedida party and partly because of meeting Bodie Cruz of PBB Season 2.
I first met him at the Correctional for Women in Mandaluyong City for the Outreach program with Gee-Ann and Mickey.
On the night of July 23, I met up with Bodie and his younger sister Djanin at Sigafredo. Ate Lhin and Lhiz were there too. I sat there for two hours just chatting with them about the PBB Experience, Computers and IT, being controversial, his lovelife and more cool stuff. The Cruz family are real big PBB fanatics especially during its first season. Natutulog lang daw sila kapag tulog na yung mga housemates at inuunahan nilang magising para alam nila kung ano ang wake up call. You were just a pbb addict at first then after a year you're an official housemate already? isn't that cool?
I was able to meet Tita Lyn. She's a lot more prettier in person and she's not afraid to unleash her "wacky" side (No wonder Bodie and Djanin has more wacky pictures LOL). It was a happy night !
To be honest, I was more excited on my date the next day
Tita Rhodora and I met up on Tuesday afternoon at Star Plaza Hotel, Dagupan City. It's my first time to meet her in person (after being blog friends for four months and we're just staying in one city - Tita, what took us so long to meet up?). Yes, Tita Rhodora is also a Dagupena Blogger and so far, we are the only ones who are active here in Pangasinan.
In some ways, Tita Rhodora and I are connected with each other. Her husband, Mr. Ike Palinar Sr. is the professor of my dad in college. He is also one of those people who encouraged my dad to try out radio broadcasting (my dad's voice is like a chipmunk when he was younger - i did listen to his audition tape haha) but then he developed this big voice later on. They even worked in the same company but in different departments (My Dad is on FM radio).
Aypee, their middle child is a schoolmate of mine back in high school (he graduated on 2002). He is also a fellow choir member and years later, he became one of the players of a lame game i started two years ago.
As expected, We discussed on a lot of stuff - family, my schooling, Carlo, the past, the blogosphere and the blog seminar that we are aiming to have here in our school. If ever, it will be my first time to organize a seminar about a topic that is not yet widely accepted here in Dagupan. Hopefully, this plan will push through
Tito Ike&Tita Rhodora, Thank you so much for that wonderful night. Thank you in advance na rin for helping us out with the blog seminar!
