It seems like the Senate and the nation is concentrate on another issue.
Noontime shows Eat Bulaga (GMA) and Wowowee(ABS-CBN)are among the topraters in Philippine TV Today. Most of us even eat our meals infront of the TV Screen because we wouldn't want to miss any portion of these shows.
Why do Pinoys nowadays go crazy over noontime shows?
GAMES AND MONEY - Joining and winning any contest on national tv is some sort of "easy money". Of course, you have to exert extra effort, but it won't even take you an hour to get a thousand (or even million) bucks. Some are even willing to risk their lives just for a chance to win a big prize and and have their 15 seconds of fame.
SEXY DANCE GROUPS - What do Rochelle, Jopay, Aira, Luningning, Mariposa, Lian and Saida have in common? They all became popular because of their sexy dance moves and skimpy outfits that "Makes these brothers crazy and they do it on a daily".
NOVELTY HITS- Bakit Papa, Ispageti, Halukay Ube, A-doodoodoo, Boom tarat tarat, Iyugyog mo, Itaktak Mo. These songs can make you sing and dance anytime.
THE HOSTS - To be an effective noontime tv host, you should not only speak well infront of the camera: you must have the so-called "Masa Appeal" because you'd be dealing with different people from different walks of life. Did I mentioned that being "controversial" is a plus?
Take for example Wowowee's Willie Revillame and Eat Bulaga's Joey de Leon.
History is some sort-of repeating itself. A few years back, these two gentlemen had a word war (Willie was still a part of the MTB show) and both of them had a taste of suspension from the MTRCB ironically because of Mahal. And now, another feud can cause a bigger network war.
Everything started with the new segment of the show called "Wilyonaryo". Some of the viewers claimed that there's was something fishy going on.
Mariel Rodriguez: Ayon wa-lang laman.
Willie: Mali , Mali , Mali . Sandali.
Mariel Rodriguez: Hawak mo pala Pappy.
Because of this incident, viewers questioned the credibility of the show. Some even accused the new game as a scam. Videos of the said episode were uploaded in YouTube and several bloggers expressed their opinions regarding the show.
Joey de Leon, One of the pioneers of the longest running tv show Eat Bulaga expressed his thoughts on the transfer of an ex-kapuso actress with an article title "Transfer-mers". Well the article is not mainly about the rival show, but some readers assume that the last paragraph of the article made Willie burst into tears.
"A little more than a week ago, I read somewhere in this paper that someone in the Kapamilya network remarked that, "Ang kapamilya hindi napapalitan, pero ang puso pwedeng i-transplant," – obviously referring to the well-publicized and quite controversial transfer of a former known kapuso to their side."
Then, in the last paragraphs of his article he wrote these:
"I really just find their statement so untrue and unfair, and I feel I need to react (and besides, wala akong article for this week).
‘Yung iba nga may pamilya dito, may pamilya duon eh.
But naturally, all these are "tuksuhan lang." Tayong lahat ay may mga pinagsamahan. Magkikita at maaring magkasama rin tayo balang araw. Kaya, walang pikunan. Paliwanagan lang. Biruan lang. Teasing is not bad. Cheating is… on TV!"
Out of the blue, Willie expressed his feelings about Joey de Leon's article and he even bursted into tears like a little boy at the same time saying personal attacks to Joey de Leon.
The next day, Joey de Leon, who just came from Hongkong with the other "dabarkads" answered Willie's accusations nd even gave him the advise "Explain before you complain!".
And the two controversial tv hosts proclaimed that "This is NOT the end".
The incident prompted the Senate and they're planning to conduct a further investigation about this so-called scam. What can you say about this issue? Is the Wilyonaryo game a scam? Is it rightful for two grandfathers to fight on national tv like little kids?

hahahaha..nakakatuwa naman itong post na ito..
Buti na lang nag-lielow na sila
Seriously, dapat dinadownplay na yung mga ganitong shows. Aside from it’s promoting stupidity, racism, inferiority complex, victim mentality, machismo…. wala talagang naiidudulot ng mabuti sa general population.
