After 16 1/2 years I’ve spent in school, I can now finally say “Sa Wakas, Graduate na Ako!“
I can’t help but remember my first week ever in school:

Before the first day of classes started, my father decided to bring me to my “future classroom” so that I’ll have an idea on what school really looks like. I was amazed when I saw a lot of learning materials (I called them toys haha),
crayolas (I am a crayola addict as a kid LOL) and those little tables and chairs. I wanted to stay there and live there forever. I want to sleep in school.
I do really have a good memory and I remember enjoying every activity we had in school. For me, it was more of a playground since I don’t have any playmate at home except my yaya and some neighbors who are older than me. How was I as a pre-school student? Well.. I was best in recitation and most talkative haha
During my Junior Casa days, I was awarded as second honor so I received a medal. I was wondering why I received a medal when all of my classmates received pink ribbons. I thought I was the dumbest girl in school so I cried for 2 nights
Ok, I was a smart kid. I did excel when I was in pre-school until I reached elementary. I was a consistent honor student but when I reached fifth grade, I was Top 8. During my graduation for Grade 6, I was in the 9th place. How I wish tnomeralc web design toys were already available during those days. I was addicted in the internet when I was in Grade 5 and my my mom find it as a “bad vice”. Who would have thought that her little baby girl would earn some money from her online gigs when she grows u?
I spent four years in a special science high school. Our batch was considered as the “talented batch” because of our talents in almost every field you can possibly think of. We won in Division, Regional and National contests - but I was not included in the team :p I did excel in dancing, singing and reporting - at least nag-excel hehe
Was I in the Dean’s List? No, and I was never qualified because I first experienced my line of 7 in math when i was still in first year. I was a bit disappointed at first but then I learned to accept the fact that I am not the studious type of student anymore and they are more brighter and more deserving kids to fill out the slots. I wanted to become a student leader but then I was not given a chance due to my oh-so-low grades. Oh well.. I’m thankful still because I learned a lot.. a LOT.
Now let’s go to college. I originally planned to take review lessons for upcoming entrance exams in college. I ended up taking the UPCAT (I failed haha) and SLU. I passed in SLU with the course that I wanted (IT and Masscom) but then all of a sudden, my dad didn’t allow me to go to Baguio for the enrollment. I got mad at first but then 4 months later, my dad died.
I started my college life with a lot of pressure. I wanted so much to fit in the Performing Arts Dance Troupe. There were a lot of temptations and criticisms, but then I was able to do my best. My dad died at July 5, 2004 and I grieved for a week. The most unbelievable part is that i managed to get high grades - except for Algebra and Trigo.
On my second sem, I became close to the student government that time. I met a lot of great students (I mean leaders) like Kuya Gau, Ate Jenna, Ate Ice, Ate Joy, Kuya Syl, Kuya Kerwin, Kuya Jajo and the rest of the group. They showed me what true leadership really means and I somewhat felt inspired to do the same. I have to thank them for making me realize that “Hey, I can be a student leader too!”. They invited me to volunteer in some of their projects and they were grooming me to be one of the next leaders under their party.
When I was in second year, I had a part-time job. I was an encoder fr three months. My salary was fine and I did even help for Carlo’s schooling in a while. I was also studying and training to be a leader. Unfortunately, I didn’t qualify to run for that year. Why? Because of my grade in Discrete Math (I hate math!).
I thought it was the end of the world for me. I was sooo depressed because I was really waiting for that opportunity. I was willing to sacrifice my dance troupe for that. A week later, someone from the Engineering Department invited me to be a part of his party in ECSSA, which is the Student Organization for the Engineering and IT department. I won as the IT Representative.
Third year is the best. I won as the Vice Governor of ECSSA and our bonding in the group was great. I was also close to the current USG and had a lot of great projects together. Too bad that we had a gap and I decided to just move on with my life. I also became the Chairman of Multimedia club and became an active member of the Web
Club.
On my final year, I became the Co-Chairman of Multimedia Club. I didn’t run in ECSSA because I am graduating by November.
To cut it all short, I just graduated last November 8, 2007 and I did receive two awards - Leadership and Loyalty
—to be edited- i’m so sleepy haha——-
congrats and goodluck
