My former classmate and good friend Mary Rose and her group is having a Community Organizing in Sabutan, Cavite. She told me that there is one school in the area which has a big problem in regards with their library. The school needs some books badly for the little kids who would love to gain more knowledge about their subjects.
Maryrose is now a graduating Nursing Student from FEU. I'll be reposting her entry from her multiply site:
"In the eyes of a child there is joy, there is laughter. There is hope, there is trust, a chance to shape the future. For the lessons of life there is no better teacher. Than the look in the eyes of a child…"
We, Group 50, are currently having our Community Organizing in Sabutan, Cavite. Inclusive with it are wonderful projects for the continuous improvement of the said community and we are about to carry out it this coming January 3, 2008. Unfortunately, we lack resources.
One of our project for the community is the improvement of their library. Definitely, shortage of reading materials is one of the problem. Those kids need new books or references to continuously enhance their knowledge, to fulfill their dreams, and to endlessly contribute to the improvement of our country.
Their hospitality, kindness, and especially their smiles are the things that inspired us to pursue our project for their community.
We are asking for your help. Please help our little brothers and sisters in Cavite and be one of the instruments to fulfill their dreams. Let us bring happiness/smiles to their adorable faces.
This coming Christmas, let us share our blessings to these kids.
Thank you very much and God bless!

I had the following realizations on our way here in Manila for the Christmas Break. Since I can't blog at the car, I jotted down the following on my mobile phone:
* Carlo is the only person who knows how sweet I am not only as a sister, but as a person. I don't know what will happen once he flies to England by early next year but I still don't want to cry over it. I have to be strong even if it means that I will be alone for a while.
* I must take my driving lessons asap. My lolo is not getting any younger and my dad is no longer here physically to drive. I must work out on this by January.
* I should continue using Kojic soap. It's really good for the skin.
* My dad turned 44 years old last December 14 (but he died 3 1/2 years ago). I used to write down super emo entries every December 14 and July 5 (death anniversary). I made a podcast for him but it is mainly about his former job as a disc jockey. Does this mean that I have finally moved on?
* A lot of people here in the Philippines is still closed-minded in regards to autism. I neglected the lovingcarlo blog and I am really sorry for that. Btw, I might re-open the blog in its own domain and i'm thinking of changing it from "Loving Carlo" to "Missing Carlo".
* When I'm in Dagupan, my friends find it hard to invite me to go outside. I'd rather go online and watch tv all day rather than to gallivant like most girls my age. When I'm here in Manila, I'm always out there malling, eating and attending some events.
* Though I have graduated last November, I am still not sure to this day on which field of IT should I concentrate.
* I'm still thinking if i should pursue my dream of becoming a script writer.
* I'm still thinking if i should get my own domain too.
* Since I've started with my part-time job, i realized that the earliest time I've slept is 3:30am but most of the time at sleep at 6am and wake up at 1:00pm but I'm not complaining. I'd rather have that work shift than to wake up at 5am.
