Living A Simple Life in Tanauan

April 22, 2008

For the past years, I’ve been spending my holy week with my dear brother Carlo. We were stuck at home in 2006 and we joined the procession and swam in the beach of Zambales in 2007. I had a hard time decided where I should go since my grannies planned to go to Bicol with some of our senior relatives. They advised me not to go with them because of obvious reasons.

I originally planned to go to Tagaytay alone and lock myself in a hotel room with my laptop and try to write a script for a dramatic short film. When I realized that I hardly know anyone from Tagaytay and I don’t even know how to go there by myself, I decided to post an emo entry on my Multiply Journal about it.

Luckily, my favorite starstruck avenger turned close girl friend Jade and her family offered me to spend the week with them in Tanauan, Batangas. I was a shy at first since that week is supposed to be spent with the family only yet a non-family member is a saling pusa. Jade convinced me to join so I did :)

I do really feel like I’m at home in Batangas and I don’t really know why. I had the same feeling when I went to Lipa last year to visit Sheyna and spend my labor day there (I had my ojt that time so there.. feeling manggagawa LOL).

The batanguenos especially the ones in the neighborhood and the barrio are nice. I somewhat spotted the similarities of Batanguenos and Pangasinenses and I won’t reveal it here until you ask me too :p

I had my first procession there, I met up with Sheyna, we visited some of the quiet places, visited a good friend’s house, ate one of Batangas’ popular fish (and i forgot the name haha), ate a lot of buko juice and halo-halo and I had some photos taken! Here are some of the shots:

Will enjoying our photo op, we saw some kids playing football. Ate Nheng actually thought someone was playing golf on the other side because she saw some golf bags in the place, :)

It’s nice to experience a taste of provincial life once in a while. :)

Random Thoughts on Social Networking Sites

Is there something wrong with Friendster? I’ve been trying to access some of my friend’s photo galleries, but it I can’t access some of the profile pictures including mine. It’s been like that for five days now.

I am about to check my super dead MySpace account when I realized that I am viewing the Espanol version. Can’t distinguish the link to switch it into an English site. Oh well.

I’ve been receiving a lot iof friend requests from people I don’t personally know at my Facebook account. I only allowed some of them to view my limited profile.

Multiply is the best place for me. You have the power to upload as many pictures as you want, post some blog entries, update your links with your favorite websites, have your visitors sign on your guestbook and much, much more.

Do you want to have a bath lift ? I just thought of one friend from OneDomus who asked that question months ago :p
