The dotPH Focused Group Discussion

Last Thursday, I attended a Focused Group Discussion about blogging that was organized by dotPH, the mother of i.ph. to be honest, it was my first time to attend in a FGD so there.

The meeting started at 7:30pm but at that time, I was still sitting pretty in Starbucks Podium waiting for the rain to go away. Before that, I met up with some students of Sinelab Batch 6 for their production meeting. I will be the production manager of my friend so there. Instead of taking a cab, I decided to just walk by myself to save some money. Ayun, biglang umulan.

I was able to reach podium before the rain fell hard. A lot of people were looking for cabs but there was none. I wented to cross the street but i don’t even have an umbrella. After 20 minutes of waiting, I decided to just walk under the rain.. and run and go "building hopping".

I reached this jollibee branch and i thought that was the building i am looking for. Much to my dismay, the guard told me that the Jollibee Plaza is actually 8 more buildings away from where I am that moment. I wanted to curse the guard but hey, he’s innocent and he’s just doing his job.

So there.. I went building hopping and I was literally wet - wet hair, wet clothes, wet bag. A lot fo people were actually staring at me but i didn’t care at all. To be honest, I actually enjoyed that moment. I remembered my Carlo and how he loves the rain. If only no one was looking at me that time, I would shout and jump for joy!

When I finally reached Jollibee Plaza, I went straight to the dotPH office. My golly! The group discussion started already! We talked about our blogging habits, experiences, rituals, eklavuness and all that. The bloggers present that night are Peter, Ade, Azrael, Ozy, Tahn, Wits, Cai and other bloggers (failed to get their names and blog URLs. I’m sorry!). Peter also showed to us a sneak preview of i.PH version 3. I love the new features! I do really appreciate the fact that Peter is asking us about our views and opinions regarding the layout, navigation and stuff. It feels great to contribute into a project like this.

I ate two slices of pizzas and we took a lot of pictures after.
