Who will be FHM’s Sexiest Pinay? Angel, Katrina or Marian?

The last day of casting for votes for this year’s FHM Sexiest Women in the World Tally is on Saturday, June 15, 2008. The list will be published on the July Issue of the magazine. FHM Philippines will also produce an event for the media and the fans wherein some of the lucky ladies who made it on the list will be performing onstage. Oh wait, have you seen the tv feature where Honda launches VCM 643 ? I hope you did.

As expected, two sexy ladies are fighting over the top spot. It’s no other than Angel Locsin and Katrina Halili!

Angel Locsin is one of the first young actresses in the country to pose for the magazine. She was hailed as the sexiest Filipina in 2005 and she is on the second spot for two consecutive years. She used to be the queen of GMA-7, but she transferred to the kapamilya station. She received a lot of criticisms but remained humble and calm. She is playing the lead role in the teleserye “Lobo” opposite Piolo Pascual.She appeared on the cover of Maxim for the May issue and was proclaimed as the sexiest in their tally. Will she be able to rank #1 again this year?

Katrina Halili is a record-breaker. For the first time in history, someone managed to stay on the #1 spot for two consecutive years. She appeared in two FHM Calendars (2006 and 2008 with Cristine Reyes) and graced three covers (December 2005, October 2006 and February 2008). Early this year, she launched her own lingerie and swimwear line called Playmates. She also produced her own coffee table book which is to be released sometime this year. She was recognized last year for her portrayal as the bad Angelica in the TV Show Marimar. She is now playing her first protagonist role in the soap opera “Magdusa ka!” opposite Dennis Trillo, Angel Locsin’s former loveteam mate.

Two weeks ago, Katrina Halili is leading in the live tally. Last week, Ange Locsin is leading leaving Katrina Halili in the second spot. Wow, this is a battle you shouldn’t miss!

But wait, someone wants to be #1 too!

Marian Rivera is currently on the third spot. I remember the time when she appeared for Manual Magazine. She said that she doesn’t want to appear in FHM yet because her fans don’t want her to do so and she wants to protect her image (is there anything wrong in posing for FHM? NONE!). I am really surprised when I saw her recent interview. She made an appeal to her fans to vote for her and she said that if she reigns as the #1 sexiest this year, she will pose for the magazine. Giving your fans some motivation to vote for you, huh?

Okay, so that makes it three girls battling for the top position. So who will be the sexiest this year? We have to wait for the July issue to find out.
