Have you been to Pangasinan? Would you like to explore the inner beauty of our province?
I was born and raised in Dagupan City, Pangasinan yet I never had the chance to fully explore our province.
Pangasinan has a lot of beautiful tourist spots. I think the most popular among devotees is “Our Lady of Manaoag” found in Manaoag, Pangasinan. I know a number of known personalities who goes to the said church on Holy weeks.
Anyway, I decided to jot down the Top 5 tourist spots in Pangasinan that I want to visit with my close friends:
· Hundred Islands (Alaminos, Pangasinan) – I went to the place once, but I never really had the chance to explore since I was only 8 years old that time. My father doesn’t want me to spend much time there because a family friend once got lost there. I’ve been hearing a lot of positive feedback regarding Alaminos City. I salute the Mayor, the rest of the government officials and of course, the people of Alaminos.
· Agno River (Agno, Pangasinan) – I saw it when I was twelve years old when we passed by while we are on our way to Zambales. To be honest, I can’t clearly recall how the river exactly looked like. My interest in coming to this place was revived when I heard that Alon, one of the finalists of this year’s Cinema One originals will be having their shoot there. I haven’t heard of any Filipino Film in the past who considered the place as their location.
· Puerto Del Sol (Bolinao, Pangasinan) – I was sixteen years old when I last went to Bolinao. I was with my family and it was my last moment with my dad on the beach. We stayed in one resort (I forgot which one.. sorry) but I would love to go to Puerto del Sol with my friends. Vhong Navarro and Mariel Rodriguez’ “Agent X-44” had a number of fight scenes shot in the said resort. How I wish I can go there with my friends and afford the high rates LOL.
· Sual Power Plant (Sual, Pangasinan) – Some of my friends who took up Engineering are now working in the Sual Power Plant. I am quite interested with the works and all that.
· Covelandia Resort (Labrador, Pangasinan) – Grannies, Ate Virgie, Carlo and I went there two years ago to attend a birthday party. We stayed there for 30 minutes only and we never really had the chance to enjoy the place.
2.
So far those are my top five picks :) Have you been to Pangasinan? Which place in our province would you like to visit?
Huh? Power plants are tourist spots now?
i’ve been to san roque dam (while it was still under construction) and the towns surrounding it. i forgot the names of the towns, though. i was on an immersion with the farmers there. i think we went to dagupan a couple of times.
btw, is the dam functional now? there were a lot of protests against its construction before.
