Dear Frank,
How are you? I hope you are on your way out of our country.
We arrived here in Manila last Saturday morning. I tried my best to sleep in the car but the AM news just give me nightmares even if I’m still awake. We did stop to buy some gasoline but we didn’t eat in a fastfood because we are saving up our money. I used to enjoy stopovers when I was a young kid because I was allowed to get some cold drinks and junk food in the convenience store but not anymore. The price of gasoline is getting higher and higher every week. The Ces Drilon kidnapping story makes me feel bad at some point but I don’t want to elaborate anymore. Rice shortage is still a big problem. A lot of people are losing jobs because some companies needs to cut down the number of employees. There are too much depressing events in the lives of the Filipinos but I don’t really blame Arroyo.
Dagupan, my lovable hometown suffered from Cosme’s visit last month. Two of my friends lost their homes. I know some students who didn’t enroll for this coming semester because the money that is supposed to be used for their tuition fee were spent to pay for the renovation of their homes or to buy the necessary supplies. It took DECORP two long weeks before they got the electricity back. Classes were suspended and the schools decided to start regular classes TODAY.
But heck, classes are suspended AGAIN and it’s all your fault!
I am here in Manila but I can’t go out. I am just thankful that my grandfather managed to drive from San Juan to Paranaque despite your bad attitude. Your close friend Cosme made the sick more weak and the poor more miserable yet you still have the guts to go here?
I heard from the news that it’s Signal #3 in Pangasinan. Why do you and the rest of your typhoon clan always visit our province? Why don’t you just go to another place or much better why don’t you just be calm and be cooperative? Things are not doing well here in the country so please don’t put too much burden on us. We had enough already and we haven’t fully recovered with the cosme disaster yet.
So please leave the Philippines now!
Sincerely,
Micamyx
