Before One Becomes an Employee

July 8, 2008

After the HR Manager informed me that I am the newest baby of the company, I immediately worked on the requirements which include:

·         SSS Number

·         TIN Number

·         Community Tax Certificate

·         Police Clearance

·         Academic Records

·         1×1 id picture

It  is my first time to be employed full-time and everything is new to me. I heard some of my friends complain on how long they waited in order to get all of these that’s why I did imagine the worst scenario :D

I went back to Dagupan to ask for help from my grandfather on working on my requirements. I travelled the morning after the confirmation but I ended up sleeping the whole day :D

We first worked on my SSS number in the morning. The line was long but the people lined-up and everything is in order. I had with me the original and Xerox copy of my birth certificate. I handed it to the SSS Man (haha di ko alam tawag dun sorry LOL) and presto! I have my SSS Number na!

I went to Dagupan City Hall afterwards for my Sedula. I signed up the form and submitted it to the Sedula  Girl (sorry again di ko alam tawag sa kanila hehe) and I got my sedula for the year in just two minutes!

I was a bit praning the next day. We went to BIR Dagupan to ask for advice on how I can get my TIN number. The TIN Girl (ok, once again I don’t know what is her position lol sorry! ) handed me the form that I should fill-out and she informed me that the employer is the one responsible in the processing of my TIN number. I went back home for lunch and consulted some of my plurk friends about this matter. Thanks to them for all the information they shared and for telling me that working on the papers is a good alternative for diet pills haha.

I claimed my baranggay clearance and went straight to the police station for my police clearance. They asked me to pay for the fee at the city hall (toxic toxic!) so I did. I went back after paying the fee and I was amused with the service of the policewoman assigned for the police clearance. I had my photo taken (haggard photo that is) and thank God I had no criminal record on their database system hehe :)

I went back home to pack my things the last minute. I rode the bus to Dagupan at 4pm and arrived in Manila at 9pm. I took a short bath, dressed up and went straight to MOA for the Ponds event. I can’t believe I actually did it lol but I failed to eat dinner. Will blog about this later :D I had my photo taken for the id the next day at SM North Edsa and yes yes yes, I’m ready!

Honestly, working on these task is tiresome , but I had this great feeling of happiness and fulfillment when I saw all the papers on my folder :D
