Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf’s African Sunrise Out on July 28!

July 20, 2008

Last July 17, I was invited to attend the exclusive launch of Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf’s newest offering - The African Sunrise at CTBL’s Makati Ave. branch.

I had a hard time finding the place, but it’s all worth it. I was an hour late, but still they managed to repeat the lecture and inform us on why African Sunrise is special compared to the rest.

I found out that the red herbal infusion uses African honeybush exclusively grown on a farm between the mountains of Riversdal in the Western Cape of South Africa. Its exceptional fusion of flavor and aroma comes from the sharp tangy taste of orange peel, the characteristic sweet honey scent of honeybush flowers and beautiful mallow flowers.

One of the most exciting thing that I discovered is that African Sunrise will come in three variants - hot, iced and latte and we were given the chance to taste them!

This is the African Sunrise Hot Brewed Tea. When I first took a sip, I felt a bit relaxed. You can really smell the aroma. (hmmm… pikit pikit :D )

This is the African Sunrise Iced Tea. Best to be drank if you want to just chill out and talk to your friends

This is the African Sunrise Tea Latte - Compared to other lattes, this one is a bit warmer and yes, drinking this one can make you feel sleepy hehe :)

The African Sunrise will be available in all Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf branches on July 28. I will surely go there one of these days using my CTBL GC :D
