Angel Locsin: After A Year

It was just like yesterday when I would switch my TV on the sala together with Carlo and Ate Virgie to watch Darna Starring Angel Locsin. We admired her beauty and dedication to her craft. Her role requires a lot of strength and patience. Later on, she starred in a number of movies mostly opposite Richard Gutierrez, who was her ka-loveteam in Mulawin. Her rivalry with Katrina Halili became more intense when both of them lead the magical tv show “Majika” and last but not the least, she conquered Asia with Robin Padilla in Asian Treasures.

Wow, it’s been more than a year since this former kapuso queen became a kapamilya.

What did Angel Locsin accomplish after her big move?

She starred in a very well-done soap opera entitled “Lobo” opposite hunky actor Piolo Pascual. My favorite scene there was when she was holding this steam cleaner. Oh wait, was that in Lobo or somewhere else? hmmm… I’m not sure hehe  

How many movies has she done as a kapamilya artist? None as of the moment but she is set to shoot a movie with Piolo Pascual in Bukidnon and Australia. Boy, I can’t wait!

My First Plurkfiesta Experience

“Sino ang malapit sa Greenhills area?”

I asked that question via Plurk one lazy Sunday afternoon simply because I was craving for Krispy Kreme Original Glazed Donut (though I didn’t want to go there alone that day) so I was hoping that someone would say that they want to go to Greenhills and go to the Krispy Kreme branch in the area.

For some reason, the Mini-Plurkfiesta ended up at Trinoma!

Maki and I decided to meet up at Krispy Kreme Trinoma. I originally planned to bring my laptop with me but I was lazy hehe :) We met up with Arbet, Pierre and MLQ3. It was not my first time to meet the three gentlemen, but it was my first time to talk to them in a more relaxed manner.

We ended up eating at Pho Hoa, a vietnamese place. We talked about the present condition of the Philippines, car insurance and ahem… Love LOL. We had this certain problem to solve that night but I can’t reveal the details here.

We went back to Krispy Kreme and ordered for some donuts. How I love the Original Glazed Donut! It was the first time that I concluded that I couldn’t eat more donuts without hot coffee.

The night ended up well. We went back to our respective homes and I am lucky because I was able to “steal” some wifi from one of the tenants in the condominium hehe (bye dial-up muna that night LOL)

I never thought that this plurkfiesta thingy will be a daily habit later on

OBRA Presents Katrina Halili

When I was still in elementary, I used to watch the late saturday drama show Star Studio Presents in ABS-CBN and the late wednesday drama show of GMA-7 called Larawan. Both tv shows aimed to showcase the talent and versatility of the featured star of the month.

After more than six years, GMA-7 finally came up with OBRA (Masterpiece), which will be shown every Thursday night right after the GMA Telebabad block.

I am really happy that the first ever GMA homegrown star to be featured is Katrina Halili!

I am really excited with the line-up of episodes! 

MISTERYOSA is a suspense-drama where Katrina will play dual roles as twins; BAYARAN, a sexy-drama with her Marimar leading man Richard Gomez; FOR LOVE OR MONEY, a comedy episode with Eddie Garcia, Eugene Domingo and John Lapus; and last but not the least, TAONG GRASA (Beggar) which was directed by noted TV and Movie director Joel Lamangan. Hmmm… I wonder if there is a scene wherein she will be using a Grohe to clean herself after the shoot was made? I am really looking forward to all the episodes!

Anyway, Katrina’s afternoon tv show will end this month, but no need to fret since she will be the leading lady of Dennis Trillo in Gagambino. She is also set to grace the September issue of Maxim and she is set to do three movies. Whew! Katrina needs to rest!
